Pawprint - A brief
history
In 2005, Meow Productions was contracted to create a replacement for La Petite Academy's
then-current payment screens. Since then, it has changed from a set of unconnected
screen to a full-fledged system that includes both parent and administrative
portals!
Since going live in March 2006, more than 1,000,000 payments to La Petite and Montessori
Unlimited have been submitted through the Pawprint system!
Pawprint System Overview
The Pawprint system is developed in PERL and PL/SQL. Thousands upon thousands
of hours of hard work have been put into it over the past 5+ years.
The Pawprint system is PCI DSS and NACHA compliant. All sensitive information
is encrypted to further protect the client's customers.
The Pawprint system utilizes the First Data Global Gateway for all payment
submissions.
The Pawprint system included recurring check options before they were available
through the First Data Global Gateway. These processes were developed from scratch
in 2005 and the recurring check payment service has been widely used since 2006!
The parent portals allow users to efficiently make payments and manage personal data
and recurring payments at their convience 24/7!
The administrative tools enable many different people to quicly research issues as
well as assist users! These tools include a password reset tool, a customer service
tool and recurring payment management tools.
